What Are Clear Aligners?
Clear aligner treatment is a method of realigning your teeth by making small movements over time. It’s completely customized, it has a minimal impact on your appearance.
After Dr. Shoumer determines the best position for your teeth for both the health of your oral cavity and your appearance, you get a series of clear aligner trays. You wear each tray for one week, and each tray moves your teeth a little at a time. The trays are worn for 20 – 22 hours per day, but you can remove them when you’re eating, drinking anything except water, and brushing or flossing your teeth.
The system allows you to take great care of your teeth during the entire process. Once your teeth are in their ideal location, you receive retainers to help keep them in place. Dr. Shoumer will explain your retention plan.

Where Do I Sign Up?
That’s easy; just schedule a consultation appointment with Dr. Shoumer at our offices in Bryn Mawr to discuss if clear aligner treatment is right for you. After taking an impression of your teeth, the trays will take approximately 4 – 6 weeks to manufacture and deliver to our offices. Then, you’re ready to get started towards that bright, new smile!
