Once that aligner has done its job, you get another aligner that moves your teeth a little more. This continues until the goal position is reached. The whole process typically takes less time than traditional braces (by 6 months to one year), and Invisalign causes minimal disruption to your lifestyle and appearance.
After Dr. Shoumer takes an impression of your teeth, it usually only takes about 5 – 6 weeks to manufacture the Invisalign trays and get them delivered to the office. At that time, you’ll get your first aligners, and Dr. Shoumer will give you instructions on how to properly care for them and answer any of your questions.
After that, you come in every 6 weeks to make sure everything is on track. These are short appointments with no poking wires or emergency adjustments. You can pay in full at the start of the treatment (and receive a courtesy for doing so) or we can arrange a payment plan that involves interest-free payments over the course of your treatment.
Once the Invisalign treatments are complete, Dr. Shoumer makes any necessary refinements to ensure you are completely happy with the result. These refinements are at no extra cost to you.
